Our platform's Ongoing Monitoring feature continuously scans for new potential matches to keep your organization compliant and aware of emerging risks. OM screens each case for 365 days following the initial search, ensuring that any new developments or risks related to sanctions, PEPs, or adverse media are promptly flagged. Here’s a guide on what happens when OM identifies new potential matches and how to manage them effectively within the platform.
1. Reopening Cases with New Potential Matches
When OM detects new potential matches during its 365-day monitoring period:
- The system will automatically reopen the relevant case.
- A new entry will appear, noting the new potential matches that triggered the reopening.
2. Displaying Only New Potential Matches
- Only the new potential hits will appear in the Potential Matches section, so users can focus on fresh alerts.
- Previous matches will retain their existing status (Unknown, Rejected, Accepted) and won’t interfere with new findings.
3. Automatic Comment Notification on Reopened Cases
- For clarity and audit trails, each reopened case will have a comment automatically added:
- Example: “Case TD Bank was reopened due to new potential matches identified through ongoing monitoring.”
4. Visual Indicators for New Matches
- Eye icons will appear next to new or modified matches, allowing users to easily identify recent updates.
- Once you’ve reviewed or actioned a new OM hit, the eye icon will be removed from that specific match, indicating that it has been addressed.
- Icons remain only for new, unreviewed OM hits, allowing users to quickly focus on unprocessed alerts.
