# Adding a Legal Entity

There are several methods to add a legal entity to the platform. Typically, your legal entity entries will originate from the portals you have set up. However, if you need to manually add a legal entity to the platform, you can do so either by searching for the company using its LEI number or by manual entry.

### Method#1: Adding a Legal Entity by **Searching with LEI Number**

Adding a Legal Entity by **Searching with LEI Number**:

1. Navigate to the **iComplyKYC** tab on the top. On the side panel, click **Entities**.

2. Click + **Add Legal Entity **

3. Next, you have the option to add a Legal Entity by searching up its LEI number or by manual entry -click **Search**

4. Enter the **Company Name** to begin searching.

5. Click **Search**.

6. Select the correct company you want to add to the platform by clicking the **Green Plus Sign**.

7. To expand the company details, click **Show More**.

8. Fill in the remaining company information.

9. Click **Save and Next**.

Next, we need to add a primary contact to this legal entity. This can be a natural person or another legal entity.

 

10. In the **Primary Contact** field, enter a new name or search for an existing entity to add as the primary contact.

11. 14. Click **Submit**.

15. The newly added entities will now appear at the top of the entity table.

### Method#2: Adding a Legal Entity by Manual Entry 

Adding a Legal Entity by **Manual Entry**:

1. Navigate to the **iComplyKYC** tab on the top. On the side panel, click **Entities**.

2. Click + **Add Legal Entity **

3. Next, you have the option to add a Legal Entity by searching up its LEI number or by manual entry -click **Manual Entry**

4. Enter the **Company Information**.

5. To expand the company details, click **Show More**.

6. Fill in the remaining company information.

7. (Optional) To add multiple entities at once, click **+ Add Row**.

8. Click **Save and Next**.

Next, we need to add a primary contact to this legal entity. This can be a natural person or another legal entity.

10. Click **Submit**.

11. The newly added entry will now appear at the top of the entity table.
